Maintaining our cottage
As part of the booking process, you will agree to these terms:
Absolutely no smoking of any type.
The cottage is inspected immediately upon checkout and any trace of smoking is immediately identifiable to the proceeding guests.
Any additional cleaning required by the presence of smoking will result in additional costs.
The Lessee must be 25 years or older and must be present during the stay.
- The Lessee is responsible for the actions of any other person on the rental premises.
- Only registered guests that are included on the reservation are permitted to stay at the cottage.
- Please ensure that the correct number of guests is reflected in your reservation request.
- Visitors must be approved in advance. For example, hosting a dinner or BBQ in which guests other than those included on the reservation will attend must be approved.
Broken Items: We realize that sometimes accidents happen; it's part of life. We also expect that our guests will treat our cottage and items in them with care and respect.
- Please let us know about any broken or damaged items during your stay. Minor broken items are part of renting, and we don't charge our guests for them. But any material damage in or to the cottage during the rental period caused by the guest is the guest's responsibility and must be reimbursed to Casa Hernani.
- Guests agree to respect the rental premises and leave them in the same condition as when they were rented. Furniture and objects for guests' use must be handled with care and used only for their intended purposes.
Heating stove:
- Never place clothing, papers, or any other objects on top of or near the stove.
- Keep children away from the heating stove, especially when it is in use.
- When in use keep the door of the stove closed.
- Never leave the heating stove unattended while it is in operation. Always turn it off completely when leaving the room or going to bed.
- Use only the type of wood provided next to it
- Never use gasoline or other flammable liquids as a substitute.
- We have a fire extinguisher nearby and make sure everyone in the household knows how to use it in case of emergency.
- In case of a fire or any other emergency, immediately turn off the heating stove, evacuate the premises, and contact the appropriate emergency services.
Outdoor sporting equipment is not allowed in the house as it can ruin the floors. Since we know so many people come to enjoy outdoor activities, we do provide covered and closed barbecue area to store your equipment in. Guests are responsible for the security of their items, and the cottage owners are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Remove shoes inside as outside elements can accelerate wear and tear on the floors. Storage shoes is behind the entrance door.
Park only in the designated place. The parking lot is right in front of the house. In case you leave, keep the access closed with the provided key.
It is the responsibility of the keys holder to take reasonable precautions to safeguard the keys and prevent their loss.
By accepting the key, you agree to assume responsibility for any costs related to its loss or replacement.
If you lose the key, please inform us immediately.
